Travis Kelce and Patrick Mahomes have large estates outside Kansas City, while Eagles stars boast homes all over the map.
The Kansas City Chiefs and the Philadelphia Eagles are set for a rematch at Super Bowl LIX in New Orleans on Sunday, but when it comes to their real estate holdings, who comes out on top?
A deep dive into the star players’ property portfolios reveals there don’t appear to be any losers in this arena. Whether it’s a suburban megamansion with an underground amenity floor or a mid-century house in their hometown, these football stars have made winning decisions when buying their homes.
Here’s a look at the real estate holdings of some of the top players on the Chiefs and the Eagles.
Kansas City Chiefs
The Chiefs’ top players have found homes on both sides of the Missouri-Kansas border.
Late last season, Travis Kelce upgraded his digs to a nearly 17,000-square-foot megamansion on 3.3 acres in Leawood, Kansas, which is just across the state border. While it isn’t clear exactly how much the star tight end paid for his new home, as Kansas is a non-disclosure state, the house was listed for nearly $6 million.
Now, Kelce is reportedly decking out the six-bedroom home’s subterranean level with a suite of amenities including a golf simulator, a gym and a lounge, making his mansion what’s been coined as an “iceberg house.” Though, Kelce might be spending more time in Rhode Island this offseason, where his girlfriend, Taylor Swift, is reportedly doing $1.7 million in renovations on her historic Watch Hill mansion.
Kecle’s Kansas megamansion sits on more than 3 acres.

Quarterback Patrick Mahomes and his wife, Brittany—who recently welcomed their third child—have called Cass County, Missouri—located south of Kansas City—home for the past several years. They live in a sprawling estate that they built on 8 acres of land, which they purchased in 2020, according to the New York Post.
Aerial photos show that in addition to a sizable mansion, Mahomes has also built a golf hole, a sports field and a pool on the property.
Both Mahomes’s and Kelce’s homes were burglarized over a span of two days in October. Police said the loss at Kelce’s home totaled $21,000, while additional details on the Mahomes break-in weren’t available, according to ESPN.
Meanwhile, rookie Xavier Worthy is already living large. The 21-year-old wide receiver’s fiancée, track and field athlete Tia Jones, shared on TikTok over the summer that the couple had moved into a modern mansion in the Kansas City area.
Her video shows the home has high ceilings, an open-concept living area and a large backyard with a covered seating area, a pool and hot tub, and a putting green.
Philadelphia Eagles
Eagles players own real estate all over the map.
Quarterback Jalen Hurts, a Houston native, has reportedly bought up a number of properties near his hometown. His holdings range from a $215,000 three-bedroom in Humble, Texas, to a nearby 1950s mansion worth $6 million, according to the U.S. Sun. He also reportedly bought the neighboring home for about $2.6 million.
During the season, he reportedly rents an apartment in Cherry Hill, New Jersey, an affluent suburb of Philadelphia.
Though Saquon Barkley was a new addition to the Eagles this year, the running back has long called the greater Philadelphia area home. Raised in the Lehigh Valley, Barkley bought a 3,300-square-foot home in Whitehall, Pennsylvania, after being drafted by the New York Giants.
Barkley paid $424,500 for the home, which was likely bought for his parents, and it’s proven to be a good investment—the estimated value is now about $695,000, according to Realtor.com.
The Lehigh Valley home Barkley bought at the beginning of his football career has increased in value.

Though it’s unclear where Barkley has settled since signing with the Eagles last year, he was able to offload his Montville, New Jersey, home. Early in his career when he was with the New York Giants, Barkley bought a 6,900-square-foot home for about $2.3 million in 2019. He sold it in July for $3.1 million, records show.
Like Hurts, linebacker Zack Baun has also put down roots in his home state. In January, the West Bend, Wisconsin, native bought a 1960s home in the city of Brookfield for a little more than $1 million, the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reported.
Baun recently bought a house in his home state of Wisconsin.

The 5,500-square-foot home has four bedrooms and an “indoor oasis” with a swimming pool, a Finnish sauna and a steam room, according to the listing.
